Red Wine

Very pretty indeed, a heady perfume of freshly picked irises and peonies drifts above the crushed berry fruit nose. Ripe tannins and fresh acidity support a palate of Morello cherries, strawberries with wonderfully elegant finish.

This Gergenti Organic Frappato, made by organically grown grapes, embodies the unique charm of Sicily. Red ruby colour. The aroma is fresh and fruity with a scent of blueberries and red berries. The grapes are hand-picked in early August. After the harvest, the grapes are left to be macerated with their skins for 6 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that the wine is aged in the bottle for another month.

All the varieties are vinified separately to give Guillaume full flexibility when it comes to blending. The tannins from these sun-ripened grapes soften quickly, so very little ageing is required to keep it supple and more-ish.
