This Gergenti Organic Frappato, made by organically grown grapes, embodies the unique charm of Sicily. Red ruby colour. The aroma is fresh and fruity with a scent of blueberries and red berries. The grapes are hand-picked in early August. After the harvest, the grapes are left to be macerated with their skins for 6 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that the wine is aged in the bottle for another month.
Lovely ripe cassis fruit and plenty of it with some warm woodspice, and cigar box. Very approachable but still proper claret. The palate is medium-bodied and structured with round, warm fruit and a velvety finish.
